ICE troubleshooting

If your URL bar shows the error message “Not secure” when trying to access ICE, then right-click on the ICE icon, select Properties, and make sure “https:” is there. If it only shows “http:” without the s, your connection is not secure.

Note: As of November 2023, ICE has been updated to work with full functionality in the Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome web browsers. Users no longer need to launch Internet Explorer or IE Mode to use ICE.

How to create a desktop shortcut for ICE

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. It should take you directly to InfoNet SharePoint.
  3. Go to Search in the center of the screen.
  4. Type ICE.
  5. Locate ICE, then click DHS Internal Links.
  6. Scroll down the Digital Pathways screen to ICE.
  7. Click ICE (in blue font, underlined).
  8. Minimize the web browser window so that you can see both the web browser and your desktop.
  9. Go to the URL address bar of your web browser.
  10. Click on the web icon or logo that is located just before the beginning of the URL (https://). Click and drag the web icon or logo to the desktop and release your cursor. This should create your ICE desktop shortcut automatically.
