Video Plugin Workflow

Before you begin you will need:

  • A direct link to the video file from Vimeo
  • A .txt or .rtf file for your Transcripts
  • A .vtt File for your Captions
  • An image file for a poster image that users will see before they play the video
  1. Turn editing on

  2. Find the correct topic/section
  3. Select the +Add an activity or resource button

  4. Select the Video plugin and select the “add” button

  5. Give your video activity a name and a description

  6. Get a direct link from EBIZ to your file hosted on Vimeo.com
    1. copy the link and paste into the “Video URL” section

  7. Set the width and height or leave them at the default if you do not know the exact dimensions.

  8. Procure your 3 necessary files. they must have the proper extensions otherwise the plugin will fail.
    1. Poster image (.PNG)
    2. Transcript (.TXT)
    3. Captions (.VTT)
  9. Place or upload the three files into the “Video Assets” section
    1. All three files are required for meeting 508/WCAG accessibility guidelines.

  10. Set your restrictions, completions and other common settings.
  11. Select the “Save and display” button.
