Glossary

The Glossary extension allows for a list of terms to be displayed (in alphabetical order) in the ‘drawer’ of the course. The terms can be clicked to reveal a definition. The list of terms is searchable. Links to the terms can be included within the course content.

Glossary items are added by clicking the ‘Add’ button beneath the list of items. This will open a drawer with two input fields, one for the item description and one for the item name. The description field is capable of accepting and rendering some html tags. It is not a large field which is indicative of the brevity that should be used in glossary descriptions. When both fields have been completed, the item is added by clicking the ‘OK’ button.
Glossary items can be removed by clicking the ‘X’ button within each item definition in the list.
